I recognize the window reflected in the bulb as being the same one as in your latest piece. :P

man, you're really good with text. Several years ago I thought I could duplicate handwriting somewhat well, but you have these typed words very... typed-looking. I'm not sure I could do that. I might could do that middle book's title with a ruler, but the bottom book has those exactly rounded lowercase letters which must be difficult. As well as the different thicknesses of the different fonts. Now, I'm thinking along the lines of just a grayscale pencil drawing, but with paint, I've never really figured out how to paint correctly and I very much doubt I could do believable text at all with paint, even in my own handwriting. (I don't even know how you can blend colors the way you do. This is the type of perfect coloring that I'd thought could be pulled off with paint, but which I had quickly realized I could not do the first time I'd tried using acrylics.)

The lettering is never perfect and I'm never quite happy with it but it does as a neat sense of realism paintings I find.

It may not seem perfect to you but to many other people the whole painting has so much detail and skill in it it's hard to believe a person painted that. I don't think words can actually describe what you do here so I won't say it's amazing or wonderful... it just... is  :squee:
