Just with acrylic paint, water to thin and brushes, sometimes an airbrush as well. I wasn't familiar with Currier's work. Thanks for introducing me!

Do you start with a photography or it's projected on your canvas or it's really a life model?

It depends. For this one I started with a photograph and drew it on a panel, refined the drawing and started painting.
